I hate to say it, and I mean I really hate to say it, but none of anyone's characters are the Main attraction, meaning, it's not all about one character. I hate it when I see that in roleplays, not everyone gives a crap about your character, or wants a roleplay all about someone else.
Therefore, everyone's going to be included in this one.
It's fine to show something about their past or something every once and a while, but don't go overboard.

in our days of yearning, there was never enough food to consume - - our people were falling of starvation. our feet were turned to stone from trudging through the vast seas of sand.

with only our footprints strewn out behind us as a single reminder of our past, we pressed forward. there could be no going back - - for we were nothing more than outcasts.

the last of our survivors were not many - - we had left with as many as thousands, lowering to a mere few hundred, leaving most on the brink of exhaustion, and a sense of death filling their spirits.

'fear not,' i had reasurred them, voice shivering with its' own dire need of water.

we had been sent off, with a promise of water from the worshipped god of our lands..

but most of my people were beginning to lose hope.

most had turned their backs on my encouragement, deciding to head back and plead for their old lives as slaves.

but those just as determined as myself, were not so intent on giving up.

it would be months before we encountered what our beloved sky god told us to be our 'promised' land.

but it was worth it.

the dangers of special creatures jumping out of the sand and attacking most of my people caused us to become alert and frigid. even when nightfall came, what looked to be a beloved thorned tree filled with hidden water had turned into a vicious monstrocity.

we fled farther.

until we reached what we spotted that we had been searching for so long.

water.

the sky god was not lying to us, filling our poor minds with hopes and dreams.

no.

it was the meaning of truth.

within a blink of an eye, me and my remaining people had rushed to the waters edges, some leaping in and covering themselves with the recovering liquid.

though i stood, a hint of happiness in my eyes as i stumbled back, my breathing becoming horse, as i heard a voice echo within my mind.

once my people glanced around, i was deftly away that they, too, had heard.

'a hiss of betrayal will be put among the strongest. a test of trust shall make itself worthy to be put in your lifetime of intruding in on our land.

the unrightous abuse of this land shall turn you and your people into shame - - there shall be no forgiveness to your name.

the deathly snake shall rise from its' hidden tomb, teeth as sharp as sikles, claws as sharp as scythes, rushing to your feeble human companions.

until that day of betrayal, of harming my kind, the moon and sun shall remain seperate beings, staying apart.

there will be no use in fighting back, no mere human could stop such a savage beast.

no human, of course.
the simple finding and arrival of three gods at once can only assure your safety from certain death.

god of lightning, god of earth, and god of sun.

out of the hidden waters our beloving god shall rise - -
thus, creating the setting of the sun.

tick. tick. tick.

footsteps rushed through the long corridors, shadowed by the brink of darkness flooding into the widened passageways. darker shadows flurried out from behind the tapped sounds, giving off different shapes from each individual that had made up those who were hidden from plain sight.

the hallways continued to stretch onwards.
strange turns upon turns as to where some might believe it to be the end simply continued as if it were a never-ending passageway.

the footsteps appeared to be rushed, labored, and hard earned.

until they came to a stop.

pillars of well shaped and defined marble were at their sides, as the group of shadows inched forward in slow, hushed steps. the darkness gave them cover from being identified, allowing the bunch to simply hinder to the shadows once footsteps could be heard echoing down the hall, malicious and plotting eyes watching asan unaware guard stalked past, checking the halls for any possible unwanted visitors.

he found none.

the shady figures moved forward, never once looking back over their shoulders. they slid slowly towards another marble opening within one of the walls, and as the moon's silvery light glistened through one of the corridor's sides as to where several oval wholes had been put to let air inside, it gave off the intention of the shaded group.

a small glitter of daunting light ran over the weapon of metal, only giving of a bright flash at the very tip of the sharpened edge.

the haunting darkness slowly gave off, as they entered a dim lit room, the only light provided by a gently lit wax, and a rather thin figure sitting right beside what would look as if it were a desk - - though made out of different materials, rather than wood, or any of the sort.

a feather, the tip dipped in ink was placed in a right hand, about to scribble more letters until a splitting pain at his side caused him to let out a heart wrenching scream -- that was only cut off as a gruff hand covered the defenceless character's mouth.

little struggle was made.

after all, there was no energy to make such a violent struggle.

cold lips met the dying victim's ears, a voice fluttering in a snide whisper. "good-bye, brother. i'll be sure to take good care of our people. ."

hushed footsteps instantly left what looked to be a throne room, the scarcely breathing figure's limbs twitching violently, in a last attempt to get a breath in.

a strangled gasp escaped the frail boy, and dull eyes glanced up at the hallway to see a round ball of white and green to rush towards his side. wide eyes were wrenched with worry, as its' cold nose and soft muzzle was shoved into the dying boy's cheek.

a feeble hand was risen, to caress the soft fur of a creature he could never hope to see again. "sky god . . ." the voice was breaking, and from one sickly cough, a flower of blood began to drip down from his lips. "protect. . . my people. ."

the powdery white hedgehog stood a step back, a short limbed paw raised in disbelief, as the familiar scent filled the short legged creature's nose.

a scent he hadn't smelt in centuries.

death.





decades passed.
the uncouth event sending tradgedy to the people amongst the newofund land - - though another pharoh had taken a stand, and took the past sickly ones place, with great mirth.
once the crowds of people had seen whom had taken the throne as of next, their eyes had widened with a sense of forboding, and tradgedy.

the conditions had become lighter on the servants, though they could not relax with the sight of helpless creatures being put in their places, forced to carry heavy loads, dig what appeared to be endless, vast tunnels, sent to harvest food and collect buckets of the river's waters for the humans.

their eyes were filled with hatred, frustration, and sadness as to how they had been treated.

though, there was new trouble.

it was as clear as day.

that glint in the newfound royal's eyes, were no good.

they were simply filled with malicious intents, leaving none of the people at rest. within those very despising maroon eyes, something unnerved them all.

a promise would be broken.
a promise that was never bound to be forgotten, simply a memory of the past, left to be forgotten.

"i am your new ruler ! let the reign of your new pharoh begin !"

we find our heroes currently traveling in the unkown desert. . . dying of thirst !

well, perhaps that may be stretching the intentions - - but they certainly ARE thirsty. and a drink of water is essential in order to continue of living as a healthy human being. with the simple thought of water to quench their thirsts, they continue to trudge on, throughout the seemingly endless sea of sand.

their footsteps only the reminder as to where they had once been.

there could certainly be no turning back now.
they just had to reach a place with water eventually. and possibly somehow, they could get just a little sip . . .

though as they complain loudly, one of the group suddenly signals for the others to hush up, and they begin to huddle together, wide curious eyes gazing straight down after the vast area down below their sparkling orbs.

buildings upon buildings took place of the once empty seas of sand - - the golden grain could not be seen upon the man-made houses, and multiple markets supplying the land. though a certain building caught their utmost attention.

a building that looked as if it had belonged to royalty more than anything. they couldn't believe their eyes, as the said sight seeing appendages had finally gazed upon the sparkling river of waters.

without a second thought, our heroesrace one another into the enormous city . .

the enormous city of Dakhla.

Let's see if our heroes can beat this challenge!

Plot - Line;;

Dakhla City.
It is located in within the northern desert of Johto, said to be one of the most water deprived areas within the entire region. Due to the fact it lacks water, the city doesn't attract many tourists - - only great architects seem to come by, and search ravenously for ancient hyroglyphs, hoping to uncover any possible mysteries hidden within the ruins.
Though also a meaning of history, this town is rather prosperous - - and most visitors seem to believe for the fact that since all of the citizens live nearby a river, the problem of water had diminished almost instantly.

Even the wild Pokemon seem to enjoy living along-side the humans -- though not all. Some forced into doing works that had been done by the humans themselves in the past, seek a deep hearted revenge - - their souls filled with the intent to bring pain the very person of their distress.

The Great Pharoh himself.

But of course, that was impossible. Even for a Pokemon - - for the royal was seen and praised it was as if he were a god.
When the ambitious leader had taken the throne without second consent of his people, they could only watch in terror as he brought new rules among the town with an iron fist. . .

The Pokemon were put into tough labor - - crackling and snapping whips forcing the creatures to work harder.

The city flourished faster with the forced help of Pokemon - - being controlled with harmful objects in order to do the dirty work of humans.

Within time, they became bitter, their agonizing painful howls never going unnoticed by the one who protected them from the very beginning.

This was what the slithering beast had wanted to happen.
His kind's pain were his own - - and the rage building from deep within the enormous creature was not growing into wishing the extinction of all humans.

For the day when the moon covers the sun, the reign of power for human beings shall be demolished - - and the reign of pokemon shall take over.

' no pokemon shall have ties with man kind - - for they are all selfish creatures who never should have been set upon this earth.

man cannot survive as well as our kind - - they are worthless from the very beginning of life.

they shall be ours to control - - ours to en-save and do our chores.

and that day shall come.'

The ambitious Pharoh did not take heed to any of the hissed warnings.

This historical town is protected by almost nothing but the vast seas of endless sand. Pokemon Trainers are rarely often known arrive in this town aside for passing through in hope of water.
Dakhla is known as "A Historical City Where the Past Meets the Present", and has a tall tale to tell. It is said, in ancient times, a great beast had lived in one of the ancient temples - - once the humans had arrived, it had given them a fair warning. Never to betray the help and love of its' kind - - of pokemon. It had also given a prediction of betrayal amongst the small group of two legged beings - - though none of them had paid attention to the warning, believing and trusting in each other deeply. They were simply over joyed to arrive in what they could transform into their home with the help of water. Even Pokemon had offered to help and build what would be one of the largest towns within Johto.

But when one of them turned sinister, and with what appeared to be the forced help of the desert pokemon, he crushed the very temple of what the people began to call - - 'the snake god'. after the event, it had become what is known today as the Serpant's Begotten Lair.

Pokemon had then begun to get distressed - - and with a new Pharoh in power after the recent death of their past young ruler, he had demanded for the creatures to be put into man kind's control.

A Legendary Pokemon lived in the prospering city had not been respected.

'doom shall fall upon the kingdom.
my kind shall rise from their enforced shackles - - and no human shall be left unharmed.'

From where the people had once inhabited the land, war struck and the town was burned down, causing them to flee into what is now called Dakhla. Once the great Serpant's temple had been turned into tarnished rubble, the humans had sought to create a new one - - The Temple of Setting Sun. The people spread rumors that a legendary beast had fallen into a great slumber within the mysterious temple. All were forbidden to enter.

Three legendary beasts from creatures were seen soon after the temple was built, all leaping off in seperate directions - - and the people called them the lightning, earth, and sun gods.

'from within the slumbering beast within the temple of setting sun, came three magnificent creatures.

one had given off the warmth of fire.

one had given off the shock of lightning.

and the other, had given off the gentle touch of mother nature.

but as quick as they came, they had vanished in a flash.
my people had never seen them again.'

Setting;;

Within Dakhla are multiple buildings and houses of the human inhabitants. There is a large market just within the very middle of the desert city - - and several goods and rare items are known to be sold there. Though the merchants can seem strange, and rather harsh if they see someone gazing at their goods for a great amount of time, they instantly become rather enraged for the fact that they aren't buying it - - and just looking.

The ruins are another attraction that most ruin maniacs are found investigating - - attempting to solve the myths from the very beginning of this town. Although they had only discovered that it was a warning from the snake god - - due to how long the city has flourished without getting harmed, most believe the legend to be a mere fake. A lie, told by those just wanting to spread superstition.

The golden seas of sand appear almost endless - - though the long river bed swollen with water seems to bring a sense of calming scenery to the town. Crops and other plants are known to grow in the land, giving them the ability to grow some vegitation, though some might not believe it.

There are very few attractions within Dakhla, but once you see them, you will never forget the performance. Dancers of pokemon and human alike, doing glorious odd tricks seem to dazzle the citizens whenever they choose to show off their well connected bond - - making most want to have their own special bond with the magical creatures.

For travelers, there is an Inn not too far into Town - - where they can stay for the night, and get a good night's rest. Just across from the Inn, there is a Healing Center -- which is an awful lot like a Pokemon Center, as to which most Trainers and travelers with pokemon of their own happen to mistake it for. Though there aren't many, some citizens bond with pokemon, and may even want to partake in a pokemon battle.

The sun remains high in the sky until the moon decides to take it over - - and when night falls, a shivering coldness covers all in the town.

Magnificence.
That's all there is to it.

Adventure.
Explorations - - wondrous exploits, and dangers to encounter. Several challenges would be met along the way - - for only the very strongest, and most skilled could over-come such obstacles. Such challenges were unallowed for the weak to declare admission to - - great feats were only meant to be overthrown by righteous legendary warriors, formed straight from mythology. Beings especially created for the act of battle and the thrill of war - - minds acting as mere drill soldiers, meant to do as told and as their leaders would see fit. Yet even so, their own names that had been written down in history for centuries and meant to remain for many more centuries to come, would be erased by an even greater hero with far more strength than those could ever possibly hope to imagine.

Once those idolized beings were to rise from their dormant nature, the sudden ridiculed evil would be drawn away - - their efforts will be demolished easily, as if it had been done without effort.

Their on-going superiority would be a legend and inspiration to all - - their words up lifting the hearts of many, allowing them to move on wards without a second thought of despair. To have a sure feeling as to where one would know it would be impossible for them to lose or fail one of the toughest challenges known to man and beast alike - - coming together as one, as a team. United in strengths - - creating a force such as an un-beatable fighting team, opposing foes striving to defeat their invisible wall of power.

As in research states, there are hundreds, upon thousands of these beings - - each filled with their own unique pure heart, kindness over flowing from any individual with the promise to help the weak. Their power would not be so strong, if they did not have the respected creatures by their side, aiding them every step of the way in their journeys, began at such a young age to test their skills of survival on their own in the wilderness.

These creatures are their only protection - - though they may seem weak at first, the more you train, the stronger they may become. Through tough battles, and words of encouragement filled with the gentle touch of love and kindness- - that, would be as to what had attracted these creatures to man kind, earning them an unbreakable kinship.

But not all humans had a kind heart . . .

There were those, who had decided to use the magnificent creature's undeniable powers for their own selfish needs - - using them as mere tools in order to receive whatever they had strived for as their devilish goals. Through the years of mistreatment, there were several creatures that may have developed a terrible grudge against mankind itself - - truly beginning to believe that every human that walked the earth had a sour heart and intention of their carefree lives.

If only that were the truth - - though it wasn't.

Befriending a special creature could be described as easy, or in fact, quite the challenge. Every young adventurer - - every trainer - - would reach a rather tough, and seemingly unbeatable challenge at some point in their journey. Faced with one choice, or the other - - whether to give up, or try their hardest and keep at it - - it hadn't mattered, for those who began their long awaited journey, would have known what difficulties would engulf them in their everlasting adventure. Straight from the very beginning - - a choice between three starter creatures would be made from their various type of nature. From Water, to Fire, to Grass - - one of each would eventually be chosen from a novice.

Being a master included difficult choices to be made - - and at times, even difficult rivals could appear.


Though through it all, the travels would be thrilling. Your adventure would never end unless you'd want it to - - to stop traveling, would be to cease being a trainer, cease striving to become that much of a respected master.

Let your own adventure take hold, as we enter the grand world - -

Of Pokemon.

Furious waves lashed effortlessly against their own forces - - roughly sending each collision into a sickening slap. Misty foam had ever since then spread across the raging seas, blocking all proper vision for a pure line of sight to the naked eye.

Within another dark clap, acting as if it were shattering glass, and sounding as if it were a beast howling its' last breath to the dying wind. Beads of shattered black water ripped apart in mid-air - - shrouding the dark waters with disheartening salty drops. The repetitive trials would repeat rather constantly - - their actions animistic, as if they were alive. Fighting at war for the very last drop of life.

Fighting to the death.
Until no one was left standing.

A lightning blow struck the skies - - its' jagged shine lit the seas, though only for another short moment. Such a moment short enough for the second electrifying dart to break through the skies, its' sharp edges tearing through thin air. The lightning strike had brought the seas to a dim lighting - - its' blinding flash as if reacting to mother nature's harsh motives. Uncontrollable salty waves slammed and collided fiercer - - each collision ending in an echoed snarl.

Desperate curls of black water lashed restlessly against sodden wood - - upon the soaking bark, centuries old paint looked as if it were just then beginning to crack pathetically. Even with the salty waters beating against its' chipped surface, the structure appeared to look dry as ever - - crust rimming its' edges, chipping off at various parts. Gradually peeling with each and every forbidden wave of sheer power. The floating wooden mass looked as if with one more collision of vicious salty waves, the structure would just then, perhaps split in two.

The floor boards squeaked eerily with age - - threatening to give way to any amount of weight to be put upon it. Scanning your eyes across the feeble man-made transportation, several other rusted, dusty items set poorly on board - - no doubt as old as the creaking ship itself. Once decent working tools had been covered in the ocean's waters particles - - dried white salt caked on the nearly forgotten objects through the years of nonstop sailing.

Though those on board were used to such conditions.

Bulky, loud footsteps protruded upon the sodden old flooring - - boards squeaking in a pitiful bellow as the pressure slowed on the dulling bark almost too painfully. Heavy pebble black boots slammed harshly against the floor boards - - each rough slam against the flooring could send a shiver down the spine of even the toughest sea dog. Leather boots thumped abruptly to a stop - - tension beginning to rain thick , rising as another familiar jagged bolt savagely stabbed the mourning skies. And from within that roadrunner flash, the sly sea dog grinned.

"All hands to starboard !"
As if detaching themselves from the very dark shadows of twilight, several other rushed footsteps thumped loudly on the squeaking wood -- deftly cries of submission and order aimed at their captain. They rushed to their stations without question - - their leader was stern, and would not accept any sort of lolly gagging - - any sort of interruption and behavior the deep water loving man saw as distracting, or slowing the pace, the gruff captain would waste no time in giving a deliberate punishment - - and the crew had known it by heart. Not a soul would possibly want an everlasting chore forced upon their hands like those whom had dared not to so much as listen to the captain's harsh words, or the first mate's flurry of quick words to warn his ship-mates.

'We're after the most dangerous beast in the sea,' the stern man had echoed in a loud announcement -- voice raised high enough so all aboard could hear his words without him having to repeat himself. 'You'd all best be watching them waters carefully,' breathed the lead male, his eyes narrowing into slits as he paroled the front deck, his first mate standing motionlessly within the middle from where the captain had stood with hands held behind his back arrogantly before.

'You see,' the captain started, after clearing the bile in his throat. '- - this creature's a not a force to be reckoned with.' the sea dog had thoroughly warned, his pacing back and forth had ceased - - as the thumping had paused as well, his weight shifting on one left, as he quickly twisted around, fierce eyes watching the entire group of crewmembers of whom would do almost anything at his very command. His gaze rested upon the crowd proudly - - a superior smirk rising on a tanned face.

Ever since - -

-- the group of ever ready men bellowed loudly with efforted grunts leaving their salty throats, ghastly breath wheezing in one another's scarred, soggy faces. Teeth bared and lips curled in a devious snarl, their oral work scarce, covered in a sickening yellow color -- at the roots turning into a rotting dark brown. Some had even blackened as if rotting for years of abuse from lack of cleanliness, lack of oral hygiene.

A sudden burst of power came from the shadowed skies, bristling with the strength and ferocity of mother nature. Her distinct and uncontrollable sole source of strength and power electrifying the very surface of dangerous waters - - thunder acting like a vicious whip in mid-air. But this charge was much stronger, much more powerful than the rest. Its' strength was sending the war prone waves up and abroad into even higher disbelieving heights.

Heavy with poisonous foam, the mass of white bubbles slapped slick against the floating boot, the sense of peril beginning to rise as the black waters had begun to rise pointedly upwards. Such power in the oceans' waves, throwing intimidated tantrums to all who had entered its' forbidden territory, daring to bring those daring souls to the very brink of death. Raging waters had suddenly begun to appear by far, much larger, and the crewmates aboard appearing to be shrinking by the minute - - as if they had been left in the washer for far too long, within comparison to size and stature of the massive wave bunching upwards, threatening to spill.

The seas appeared to come alive with lean arms raising dangerously high - - foamy waters pushing, shoving like a bustling crowd, all attempting to reach the same place at once with the same amount of fierce effort. The creaking old ship was beginning to tip - - its' weight leaning fully to the right, and the sense of peril from earlier returned at full blast. Slick dark waves lifted themselves up, and split from the dark cover of the ocean - - no - - tentacles erupted from the shaggy covering of liquid, wrapping a slimy grip 'round the ship's base. Slick, wet appendages slowly listing, savagely shaking.

Until - -

"Man overboard!"
Men heaved, breath caught in their throats as anticipation could be seen clear across their expressions. Their dull, crusted nails clung for dear life at the chipped wooden railings - - clawing the barky surface as if it were their lifeline. The weaving salty waters suddenly ripped through a spot of its' surface - - an enormous gaping beak with ragged, scarred edges widened threateningly, a bloody moan echoing from its' misty throat. Soundwaves of the heart shattering screech shook the ship's very flooring, making those on board feel like their legs were turning to mush.

Waves sloshed, and slammed even harder than minutes earlier, their actions rising dangerously in levels as every second passed wearily. Mist had evaporated into thin air from the force as a hefty beast gradually began to rise from the raging salty waters. Unfitting bright pink orbs were detected atop the sea beast's cranium , yet under the darkness of the shadows, hungry cruel eyes burned with lust - -

Lust for blood.
Human blood.

Rippling through the air, another blood curtling groan filled the humid air - - though within the distinct moment, a deadly slap against the waters sounded throughout the crewships dulling ears - - their eyes wide with terror as they began to realize that one of their own were missing from their stations. As if the missing crew member was oblivious to the sea beast rising to un questionable power.

The single crewman slipped under the salty waves - - the sense of dread rising to its' extent as the murderous beast lifted several other of its' constricting tentacles hiding within the black mass of water. They whipped ever so quickly beneath the pressure of the deep liquid, groping for the possibly human giving a fierce struggle to resist drowning for all he was worth.

While the ship continued to be tortured with a taste of death hanging by a thread, the end drawing agonizingly slow, a sudden speck within the shameful waters erupted from the writhing mass. Head popped up just barely, over the furious ocean, gasping for much needed air, lungs screeching 'help!'.

For a short moment, the entire crew cheered, even the gruff serious captain seemed over joyed. They had tipped off their hats and headbands, their fellow crewmember - - as if the man in more danger than the rest of them had already been in the clear. 'Grab hold!' sweaty hands gripped, and released a surprisingly sturdy length of rope, whipping it through the weeping skies, and towards the struggling man within the mass of vibrating water.

Whoosh.

Tentacles like whips, lashed upwards, slashing straight through thin air, slapping the hefty rope away from the reach of the drowning crewman. The wet twisted object slammed against the deck, breaking already weakened floor boards as a few members of the crew tumbled into the darkness bottom of the ship. With an unforgotten wail, the 'kracken' lifted its' tentacles within mid air once more, beak at the very edge of the ship's tilting side, awaiting for terrified humans to drop easily into its' jagged beak.

'That's it!' the captain's courageous voice yelped through the thundering storm, hands that were once tightly gripping the ship's brittle railings now fisted at his sides. A fierce look crossed his expression, one that his crew had known all to well -- it was grave, and read what actions were bound to take place. The leader leapt off the edge - - arms held out as he held his eyes fluttered closed, diving straight for the death intended waters, only one thought in his mind as gravity fell upon his body. 'I'll save you !'

Time itself stopped, and only a dull heartbeat remained.

"Uh, what's he doing ?"

Leaping from the shifting ground, the lean male made a mad dive within mid-air - - arms held out, as if reaching for something that was in peril, or in the risk of certain death. His heart was fully intent on braving the deep blue - - his heroic deeds for his shipmates would be told throughout countless sea stories, and his name would be shrouded within fairy tales and tales of the past through centuries and centuries to come. Dark orbs burned fiercely with heroic determination, and his body suddenly slowed - - thoughts of rescuing his lost crew member still in his head.

Though the only thing he had met was a mouthful of sand.
Gravity had obviously disagreed with the comical male, and the dark haired boy had collided face first within the mass of shifting yellow grain - - mass of hair standing up on end, in various places and directions, topped off with several clumps of sparkling warm grain upon his head of hair. The clothes he was sporting had been covered in the pale dust as well - - making him appear entirely a mess with the boy's face shoved fully into sand.


A few moments of silence passed, before confused, and rather weirded out green eyes gazed down at the pitiful looking boy doing a faceplant to the ground straight from the cartoons. Eyebrow raised, arched almost perfectly in a sign that the owner of the brow was about to ask a question, which would most likely appear to be on mostly all of the group of travelers' minds.

". . . uh, what's he doing ?"

Brilliant green eyes twinkled in a mixture of amusement and confusion - - curled brown hair rested at his ears, as well as gently curling near his bridged thin nose. Facial features looking mature -- although as from how at first glance that's possibly what you could thing. Yet if you could glance at his face carefully, a wide smirk was playing on his lips, and an attempted hidden snort left his nose. Hands at his sides, he finally erupted in laughter, feebly attempting to stifle it, though failing considerably.

Humiliated, the dark haired boy simply lifted his head slowly, through messy bangs, a deathly glower was shot through the gaze -- though the laughing older male paid no attention, yet if he had, he'd paid no attention to the scowl, and only pressed on by laughing louder. "This is no time to be laughing !" struggling to his feet, the younger of the mocking pair hadn't even bothered to dust his clothes off, his eyes twinkling with the same glint from earlier, as if reliving the previous moment.

Now, fully standing, the naive male pointed a finger to the obviously taller. "Jessica's in trouble ! Drowning - - lost in vicious seas !" the boy began, waving his hands for emphasis with his tall tale, voice lowering with power and implying the darkness of the situation, as to where Taylor merely waved it off. "Hey, I'm talkin' here- -"

"You mean this lovely lady ?" he'd interrupted, the brunette's eyes, though half lidded, stared after the ranting boy for a few moments, before he'd shifted his position and leaned close to the said female - - elbow resting leisurely on her shoulder, as he leaned daringly close to her face. "I don't think she's drowning," the pokemon breeder announced easily, eyes closing, and he let out a breathless sigh. "I knew you would crack soon ! Therefore," the brunette jumped to his own two feet, looking absolutely giddy, like a child awaiting their birthday present. 'What is he . . - -'

It only took a few short moments for the boy to then realize his surroundings - - the countless piles of sand, the vast and endless miles of desert strewn out before the group of four's eyes - - their travels seeming almost endless, it was a wonder as to how they still had their hearts set in for hope of finding a village through the confusing route. Every pound of sand had looked the same - - which was to be expected, aside for a few cactus here and there. Although quite a few of them had actually turned out to be pokemon, and they'd been forced to flee in terror as it came to life . . .

The large sun boiled overhead - - giving no mercy to those caught out in its' sweat drenching glare. The heat giving off a heavily humid, misty environment, and from then on, Eli could tell that Taylor wasn't in the best of shape after all, even if he was always energetic, and never seemed to get tired through their travels. Sweat drenched the breeder's brow, and his hair was tussled slightly in some places as well - - skin thoroughly moist from the ongoing rays of sun hitting his body, Eli had then started to realize the heat on his body as well. Not to mention parched.

Hadn't they a drop of water left ?

" I won the bet !" Taylor interrupted, smacking his hands together.

Bellowing and whooping in joy, the pokemon breeder proceeded to 'rub it in Eli's face', often roughly shouldering the boy in the chest multiple times with a sly grin. "Told ya' so ! But no - - ladies man Taylor is no match for - -" a hand was shoved flat in his face, and the breeder was silenced while he continued to mumble against the appendage fiercely. Looking cross, Eli wriggled a clenched fist in rage. "I didn't do anything like that ! Leaders never gamble !" dark brown eyes searched the other two of the group - - those he'd deemed as his closest friends. "Did I ? A hero always remembers his promises !"

Brayen suddenly whipped his hand away from Taylor's mouth, seeming to believe a tongue would lick his skin as the breeder's defense. "Nonsense !" snapping his fingers, the flamboyant male ran a finger through neatly curled locks of hair, before he once again, had joined at Jessica's side, and if she were giving him any body language to tell him to back off, he paid no heed as he only leaned closer, elbow resting on the girl's shoulder once more as it had been earlier.

"You believe me, don't you darling ?" Taylor crooned his neck, lowering it to nuzzle his nose softly against the traveling female's cheek, eyes lowering to a well practiced hazed expression, green eyes giving a dull glow. Looking as if he were about to puke at the scene before him, the dark haired boy instantly shoved the flirtatious teenager from the girl, sending the brunette flying into the group's other traveling companion, Pokemon Coordinator Saion.

"You fiend !" the trainer barked haughtily, standing at the female sketchists' side as if he were an over protective doting knight.

"Well," Taylor frowned, placing a hand on the pokemon coordinator's shoulders, as if expecting the other boy to back him up. "That really hurt," the breeder rested a slim hand as to where his heart would be beating restlessly within his ribcage, hidden underneath skin.


His younger opponent merely narrowed his eyes. "There's only one way to solve this, pervert !"


Though as the said pervert had opened his mouth in an attempt to bark out a wise retort, Eli had cut him off again, with a wide grin that had already calculated the results as to what would happen after this short moment. "Lilina ! Who's smart and who's dumb ?!" the question was abrupt, and oddly straight to the point, no one could scold him on the fact that the said little purple ape-like creature leapt into the scene. Remaining hidden within the midst of all the arguing, the mischievous chimp had preferred to keep out of the commotion, as troublesome as it was.

Its' oval head, with just as big oval ears with creamy yellow patches just within the middle of them, its' stomach had the same round patch of bright yellow fur, as well as its' feet. The nimble creature's tail had weaved skillfully within mid air as the chimp rushed to its' master's side - - dangling at the very tip of the tail, appeared to be a glove the very size of the purple chimp's entire body - - eyes smiling, the aipom bunched the muscles in its' back legs tightly, before pouncing, paws scrabbling as it rested upon Brayen's left shoulder successfully. "Ai pom !''

She swung her tail in greeting, mirroring the same exact grin that was on Eli's face.

"You're letting your . . " the breeder's voice suddenly died, as he held his hand weakly out. " . . . monkey decide which one of us is smarter ?!" the flirt looked absolutely stupefied - - if not, rather insulted, as his eyebrows furrowed in a glare that Brayen had deemed useless.

If anything, said monkey looked insulted, and offered a glare that caused the breeder to flinch and wave his hands effortlessly in defense. "Not that I meant anything by i-- "

"You bet !" the trainer interrupted, pumping his fists with a wide smile, before dark eyes turned to the miniature chimp at left. "Now, go on ! Which one's the idiot ?!"

A gloved hand pointed to the fellow to her right, and the pocket monster's master literally collapsed to the sandy ground once again in embarrassment, sending up puffs of dust with him as he fell, and once gravity closed on him, Lilina swiftly leapt from his shoulders and onto Taylor's, who simply smugly rubbed his nose, chuckling in a superior manner. "Looks like she likes me more than you. After all, I do have a charming specialty ~ . ."

Face covered in dust the second he magically leapt to his feat, Brayen's fierce glare burned like a fire once again. "At least she knows who's a no good, dirty lying cheater - - -"

Taylor effectively tuned out the younger boy's endless ranting, simply glad enough that he had beat the naive trainer twice in one day - - even though the boy wouldn't even so much as remember the first time. Though deep down, the breeder was sure the boy could - - he just wasn't entirely liking that he would be forced to admit he had a hallucination a few minutes after said bet. 'I bet he can't even remember his own name !'

"- - and lastly - -"

"Hold it there, kiddo," Taylor interrupted, looking surprised for a few short seconds upon noticing that the boy obsessed with heroism had actually paused his days' ranting and glanced after him with rather confused, curious wide eyes, once eyebrow cocked up slightly in question. "I'm kinda' parched ! So it's best we get moving as fast as we can, before I faint from heat and you'll all have to carry me !"

Giving a pompous smile, he was only met by a dark glare.

"The team only moves when the leader tells them to," the dark haired male declared, rather arrogantly, pointedly ignoring Taylor's disapproving expression. "And he says we're off !"

As soon as the word 'off' rang in the aipom's ears, she'd nimbly leapt into the skies, roughly thumping on Taylor's head, and leapt straight across to land at Eli's shoulder, cheerful 'ooh's and 'ahs' escaping the grinning chimps mouth.

Rubbing the animated bump on his head, Taylor gave a barely audible mumble. "Now that really did hurt. . ." he'd decided with a pitiful whine.

"Serves you right !" looking fairly pleased, Eli grinned, white teeth glistening at his so called 'achievement'. The young pokemon trainer simply whisked around, taking a few steps forward, whisking past his traveling companions, and taking the lead, walking as to where his instinct had thus lead him.

... before he turned around rubbing his head sheepishly.

"Which way do we go again ?"

Through countless twists and turns of retracing their steps within the seemingly endless desert that felt as if they were walking in an oven, baking like delicious pasties sold at bakeries, they had eventually reached their destination. Though the entire journey to reach the said village may had been rather difficult, with all the arguing as to which they had been going the right or wrong way all along, it hadn't mattered now -- they could finally rest their sore, hot feet, get a drink of refreshing cold water, and relax.

. . couldn't they ?

"We're here !"
Fairly pleased, the rather comical young male panted restlessly, arms hanging slumped at his sides, as he gave a weary smile - - eyes suddenly brightening as they came across the multiple buildings across what would have looked like a vast, plain and boring desert. Even if they had only made it to the desert town's entrance, it was enough to be proud of - - and enough to keep him going. Though the bustling city looked as if it were thriving - - its' street crowded with people, though the market had looked most crowded, inhabitants either buying, or selling goods. Some travelers attempting to stalk up for their journey - - they had even bothered to decorate the thriving city with festive decorations, and lights. Within the far back, they may have looked small, but from up close, they would probably prove to be enormous buildings made from ancient times . .


'doom shall fall upon the kingdom.
my kind shall rise from their enforced shackles - - and no human shall be left unharmed.'

A sudden pulse filled the air, shaking the earth like a puddle with feeble rippling waves.

The strange mystified voice echoed through the area -- it had almost made Eli want to shoot straight out of his shoes -- though doing such a thing would be known as an un heroic deed, and it'd be impossible for the boy to do such a thing. Especially in front of his traveling companions -- he was, of course, their one and only role model of the future.

Or so he thought.

"Thank. . . god . . " a bedraggled Taylor sputtered, finally sounding out of breath, the pokemon breeder looked as if he were about to collapse on the ground, croak over and drop dead - - ( after all, they were running around the vast desert (without a clue where they were ) in mind boggling heat, drenching them in sweat. cactus coming to life wasn't exactly an upturn either - - judging by how the traveling group had to make a mad dash, looking as if they were truly playing a game of pac man. ) it truly did look as if they would have to carry him if they had dawdled any longer within the desert. It didn't look as if his eyes were clouded with humor any longer -- at least, not for now.

"Can't relax now ! We still have to go find the 'Center." upon hearing Taylor's pitiful groan, he'd only laughed it off, wheezing slightly from lack of water. Eli's bright flashy grin had gradually turned into a disappointed smile - - just how could a desert town have water anyway ? There wouldn't be any possibility to have water in the middle of a liquid drinking sun drenched desert, would there ? It just wouldn't make any sense, if there could be - - all in all, it looked as if the pokemon master striving boy was about to give up, his eyes clouding.

"Hey !"

A new voice rung in the pokemon trainer's burning ears, and his eyes opened in a wide stare as his eyes shifted to what looked to be another group of four - - just like them, though a single one could be picked apart from the fellow quad group - -although looking more experienced, the adolescent girl gave a rather challenging smile, waving her arms as if to seek attention.

"Just what do they want ?" Eli blurted out, almost loud enough as to where the other distant group could have heard them. His dark eyes twinkled in the slightest suspicion - - but he'd still given the waving female a slow wave, giving the fellow trainer a look that seemed like he'd expected her to grow a tail and ears.

Gulp.

Taylor's brow had failed to raise perfectly like before, instead it had only dared to lift a few inches, the other twitching in feeble irritation upon being seen by a girl in this humiliating condition. "Don't tell me . ." the breeder began, his voice suddenly ending in a daze, sounding full of complete dread, as if he'd fully expected what the next words the fellow waving trainer was just about to shout out.

"You four ! How about a battle ?"

'All I wanted to know; why. How could he do this to us?'

It was the heat of any day in the great Desert. A beat of heat dripped onto a massive structure, melting the enormous tomb into the sandy blanket beneath the great pyramid. Solid stone bricks swirled into the sand-covered terrain from the bottom of their segments.
'I can sense this aura;' a harsh voice echoed across the dry desert, its tone off slightly more than it should have been, ''it is surrounded by darkness. I have felt its presence before . . .'
The angle of the scenery changes. The sky view had shifted slowly, transversing slowly to a figure. Its smoky ears twitched once; something did not sound right. Blood red eyes flickered from the left of the pyramid to the entrance. The canine's eyes flickered shut like a dropped blind, a blurry sight consuming the bright sky to a dark shade of blue. A bright blue flame flickers inside the large, jagged cylinder. It had been staying still, yet something did not seem right. The canine pocket monster's tightly shut eyes shifted to the right; its ears madly shaking as he turned his head for a better sense of another aura. There was something wrong; the aura was a dark black. It had been moving at a rapid speed, its flame flickering madly as it floated near the lighter fire. The canine's eyes flung open; something was about to happen.
Kicking off of its large black hind legs, the fighting pocket monster hurdled himself forward, making its way toward the great pyramid. Whatever was going to happen, it had to be stopped. But how could he be of help? The Pharaoh could take care of himself, you'd think; perhaps not. The canine's hind legs were now accelerating at a fast paced speed, the soles of his paws delicately touching the sandy ground, avoiding direct contact with the scorching buff rocks. His arms were thrown behind him, dangling in the wind as he sped towards the great pyramid. A stranded skorupi stood in front of the entrance to the structure, unsure of how much of a bother he could be. Its scuffling legs dug into the sand, making its way around to the view where it could see behind him. Noticing the canine pocket monster, it let out a slight squeal of fear,
'L - Lucario !'
Its pincer-like teeth clicked together once; its cheeks puffing up. Lucario came to a halt as he approached the scorpion, a look of disgust and anguish as he tried to get through; there was more important duties than to mess around with this bug. The scorpion spat suddenly at the canine pocket monster, letting out a large amount of a purple-like ooze. The toxic had landed all around Lucario's fur, making him wince in pain as it began to dissolve into his skin. His eyes quivered with fear, a yelping pain flowing throughout his body; he had been poisoned. The fighting pokemon threw his right arm to his left, trying to support himself as he flung himself forward slowly. He winced, then; his sparkling white fangs pressed together harshly as he went forward. He pressed on, however -- not wanting anything to happen to the Pharaoh. Tears developed in his eyes as he continued to strive, a shadow passing from the entrance of the tomb onto Lucario's head. The skorupi watched Lucario go, however -- wondering why he had been rushing in the first place. The canine looked back once, catching the glance of the skorupi. The scorpion jumped in fear, fleeing away from the pyramid. Lucario forced himself into the large structure soon after.
It had been darker than he remembered. The hallways of the giant pyramid had been cleared, almost as if evacuated. Lucario paused for a moment, then, trying to recall if he had seen any residents from the great structure; he had not. No one was to be heard, seen, or even smelt. The canine was forced back into reality when a piercing shock flowed through his body; the poison began to spread further. Placing a paw pad delicately on the cold stone-laid floor of the cavern, he began to make his way toward the Pharaoh's chamber.
Stealthily creeping behind a corner, the canine slipped into the shadows, darkness covering his dark-tinted fur. His chin tipped upwards, the pocket monster kept his breath held -- his limbs tight. Echoing footsteps indicated that the dark aura had returned. Lucario's eyes slid shut, his ears humming like a hummingbird flying against the wind. He raised an arm slightly, a mystic blue aura flowing from his shoulder
pad to his paw.
"good-bye, brother." a familiar voice rasps, " i'll be sure to take good care of our people. ." Lucario's eyes shot open in an instant, the familiar pain of the poidon taking his energy away. The aura pokemon made his way to an opening, torches flickering above the mud-covered bricks holding the pyramid together.Blood-red eyes flickered to the room where the dark aura was originally sensed, revealing the very human who he recalled.
Blood splattered against the dirt-laid ground, the pharaoh's body collapsed onto the ground. Blood shot up through his mouth as his eyes flickered, the pharaoh's hand lingering to the side. The fighting canine gasped as he recognized the familiar "pet"of the pharaoh; a grass-covered hedgehog with buds sticking out from its back. Its eyes were full of fear as the pharaoh gasped for air, managing to spit out his final words.
"sky god . . ." he reached out his hand roughly, caressing the furry creature, "protect. . . my people. ."
The pharaoh's hand dropped at an instant, the fire in his once glowing eyes burnt out. An evil laugh flew throughout the great pyramid, the grass-covered hedgehog -- Shaymin -- let out a squeal of terror; its once best friend was murdered.
Lucario let his body drop as the poison took complete effect; he hadn't realized how much pain he had been taking throughout the life-changing scene.
'The pharaoh is dead,' he concluded to himself, his eyes pressed shut, 'and I did not do anything to prevent this.'

Lucario's eyes were shut tight now; his body limp. He was not dead -- however -- what would happen to the people who once obeyed the pharaoh's command? What of this "new" pharaoh who murdered the old?

Adventure. This one simple word has many definitions - - however - - only one to trainers. This word means an ability to start fresh; start anew. Pokemon and trainers will have the opportunity to grow a relationship with one another, and sometimes a rival. On the way to the city of Dakhla, our heroes found themselves in a bit of a shipwreck . . .

- - - ~ ` `` ! !

". . . uh, what's he doing ?" The scene of the surrounding develops. Not a drop of liquid to be found in this sandy area - - only a sign of cactus set in their own positions. A voice rings in the ears of the female heroine, and it's one everyone would know if you ever met him. The green-eyed female's spheres rotate to the male, his expression full of question. Smacking her lips together, the girl tried to get the rest of her saliva on her dried out lips. the female brunette's eyes twirled to the sandy flooring, where the second male and also 'leader' was face first in the sand. The sweat on her head continued to drip at the sight ; what indeed was he doing ?
"What? I wasn't paying attention . . . The girl reached for her own forehead and wiped it ; it was too hot to be walking around in a desert at this time of day, but if they had decided to go after the sun had set, it would be far too cold to continue moving on. A wisp of wind blew as fast as a flygon could fly, a cacturn tumbling as this happened. The sketchist braced herself; if sand got caught in her sensitive eyes, it would bug her until she received medical attention. When the wind had surpassed, all was calm again. The four continued on, stepping lightly as their feet sunk into the tan colored terrain.
"This is no time to be laughing !" The other male spoke up finally, his hands wiping the leftover sand as he began to help himself up. His eyes were full of worry - - but why? His clothes tainted with a sandy-colored tan, the trainer let out a 'huff' as he hauled the rest of his body upwards. Other than the beating sun above the three, there wasn't too much to worry about.
"Jessica's in trouble ! Drowning - - lost in vicious seas !" That was it ; he had lost his mind. The female sketchist chuckled a bit at his face - - it was ridiculous. Some leader, right? The desert heat was getting to the male's head, and there was no time to prevent it. The cocky male next to the female just waved the calls for help; nothing to worry about.
"Hey, I'm talkin' here- -"
Creeping like a spider, the male perched over to the sketchist's shoulder, his head lingering closer to the girl's cheek. He flashed his infamous smile - - of course.
"You mean this lovely lady ? His voice was full of a joking tone, a devilish smirk flowing over the breeder's face. Jessica merely scoffed as a response; the breeder seemed to try to hard with 'the ladies'. She was bound to smack his hand away eventually, but for now Taylor continued with his cocky tone of voice.
"I don't think she's drowning," he spoke up once again, a thumb popping out from his loosely clenched hand, a sparkle of light reflecting off of his pearly white teeth. The sketchist merely grimaced; those teeth are blinding! The brunette girl's mouth creeped slowly to a deep smile, her voice full of sarcasm,
"Hey, close your mouth Taylor - -" she finally spoke up, the drenched green hoodie's long sleeves slipping over her tiny hands, " - - your damn teeth are hurting my eyes !" The sketchist sang in her tone of voice, letting out a breath of air afterward; it was hard to even talk with lack of water. It seemed a little too hard to talk here, it seemed; there must be some sort of town somewhere. Jessica blew a gust of hot breath up against her forehead, her bangs wisping against her head as the air flew between each hair. The brunette sketchist's forest green eyes flickered back to the breeder; his eyes full of victorious lust.
"I knew you would crack soon ! Therefore," the breeder announced, clasping his hands together. The sketchist silently agreed with him, too - - they would all seem to be able to crack as well, however. Motivating Taylor's previous actions, the heroine rolled her shoulder enough to butt the breeder's head away from her; the last thing she wanted was contact from a human, even if she was one herself. Pulling the sleeve of her hoodie up to her elbow, the girl was ready to march over toe the breeder herself and knock some sense into him. A voice interrupted her, however - -
" I won the bet !" Taylor announced merrily, his eyes full of joy as he gloated about his newly discovered 'victory'. The trainer merely gave him a look of confusion; they had placed a bet? An invisible cloud formed over the poor male trainer's head; there was no bet in the first place !
"I didn't do anything like that ! Leaders never gamble !" the overconfident trainer blurted, his voice ringing in the sandy oasis. The expression on his face was an outraged one; he seemed like he was going to crack again. His eyes lingered to the other two - - the sketchist and coordinator - - his tone full of confusion as he asked,
"Did I ? A hero always remembers his promises !"
The sketchist of the four merely stared. First he called himself the leader, and now a hero. She felt herself rolling her orbs inside her head around, as well as a scoff escaping from her lips. The arrogant girl stuck out her hand, her fingertips only barely sticking out from underneath the green cloth of her sleeve.
"Can you two stop fighting for once ?!" The sketchist challenged the two males; she doubted that they would ever stop bickering. She blinked a few times after she had shouted, though - - did she really have to say that out loud? Though unsure what would happen next, Jessica curled her fingers into a ball-like state, leaving her lone pointer finger pointing at the two boys. "We need to get out of this desert ! Our pokemon are bound to be just as thirsty as ourselves, ya' know !" The brunette female's arm dropped beside her, the girl's fingertips gingerly touching the top of her own pokemon's homes where they would rest; their pokeballs. They had to get out of this heat soon. Had to.

After countless days (or rather hours, but it seemed the opposite), the moment the group of teens had been waiting for finally risen; their destination. It lingered in front of them, almost calling out to them, screaming 'we're here for you', or so it seemed.
The sketchist picked up her pace as they began to head into town. Raising her hand to her head, she flicked off what seemed to be a puddle of sweat, letting it fall to her side, and possibly flowing downwards to the sandy ground.
"Thank . . . god . ." Jess couldn't have said how she felt better herself. It was easy to tell they were all exhausted, excluding Eli of course, who always seemed to have a spark of energy hidden inside himself.
"Can't relax now !" Jess heard Taylor groan as loud as she did as he sputtered those words eagerly, We still have to go find the 'Center."
Jess sighed to herself, ringing out her sweat-caked shirt one last time, but agreed with a nod.
"You're right, Eli," she sighed in response, "let's get this over with, then - -"
"Hey !" A voice interrupted the sketchist, which she was almost thankful for, until she spat the rest of her thoughts out loud . . .
"You four ! How about a battle ?"
'Here we go,' she thought to herself, smirking at the other trainers. Her fingers pressed against her pokeball nearest to the front, and waited for her friends' responses . . .

Ah, the city of Dakhla. One of the most peaceful cities of the great Johto region itself; or so people might think. Full of ancient buildings and close residents, it would seem that this town would be a great place to raise families and stay your whole life, but that is not the case. In a city so great, there is also a large amount of chaos and evil. This all started when the new Pharaoh took over the city.
A patch of hay scuttled underneath as something tried to get out from underneath it. A tiny snow white muzzle came out; jet black nose planted on the very tip. The nose twitched once, then twice - - sniffing its surroundings. At an instant, the fuzzy little creature whisked out from underneath the hay, revealing a pompous young hedgehog white as the first day it snows in a very frozen area. The fuzzy green leaves on its back shook as it tried to get the hay off of its own back, the bright pink flowers shimmering in the beating sunlight falling against the hedgehog. Beady eyes flickered upwards; it had been sleeping near a ponyta carriage. The wooden wheels of the cart began to move, and the little hedgehog jumped like it had never jumped before, making its way out from the haystack.
Shaking its back one more time to clear away the hay, the confident hedgehog began to stroll around the great city of Dakhla. It had been a while since the little pocket monster had taken a stroll just to have a teeny bit of fun; in fact, it seemed like there was no time for fun any longer.
'Ever since that - - that - - that traitor showed up,' it thought enraged, furious at the current Pharaoh that had taken over for his brother's 'accident', 'I have not seen one smile on a villager's face !' The spunky hedgehog spat his words mentally; it wanted to do something about this, but he didn't seem to have the strength or power to do such a thing as overrule the pharaoh. The tiny hedgehog kicked at a dried out piece of grass, letting out a tiny 'hmph' as it nodded in reassurance.
'I will believe in what Rayquaza had said to me that night,' the snow white rodent thought with a slight nervousness, 'and hope that the pocket monsters in Dakhla will join forces and stop such havoc . . .' The hedgehog paused for one moment more, its nose twisting in confusion. There was something hidden in the green serpent's words that seemed like it could have been used for evil instead of good.

Green fire spewed from the torches above the hedgehog's head. Dripping ooze fell from the ceiling to the floor in a gradual pace. The stones in this chamber were slimy as well as filled with mold; a place where a pocket monster such as the brave little hedgehog should not be setting foot into. The snow white rodent pressed on, however, letting no fume of such plants harm himself mentally. A 'hiss' came from the center of the room, where the green water-like substance oozed from.
With a good paw forward, the rodent continued with the uttermost confidence in his black eyes. The 'hiss' that the pocket monster had heard consistently became louder as he stepped forward. Stopping above the hole in the ground where the ooze was, it was now seen that the hole was large enough to keep the largest creature in the universe inside. Swish. The green substance fluttered, a few drips of water splashing above the hedgehog's face. It winced, however not letting it seem scared whatsoever, it stood as still as any stone in the ancient pyramid. Boom. A large head came forward out of the hole, green water-like ooze flying up in the air. The flickering green flames that had been above the doorway had been put out with a gust of wind as the serpent flew out from the ground. The stones continued to shake as the serpent flew out of the hole, the hedgehog now somewhat drenched with the green-like goo. Shaking its fur, the snow white color it had before was dyed a slight green. The serpent held its breath for just a moment, then let out a massive roar. The tone of its voice shook the pyramid like it was a feather in the wind, the bricks of the walls slightly out of place as it finished. The pompous hedgehog grimaced as the light green serpent glared at him; this was something he had to do.
"Rayquaza !" The hedgehog spat the serpent's name at an instant, its eyes glowing with pride and envy as he studied how massive the snake truly was.
"Ah, Shaymin," The serpent hissed the hedgehog's name, its golden eyes glaring at the tiny pocket monster. The tongue of Rayquaza flickered out from its teeth, letting out its true 'hiss' as he shook his body to get some of the liquid off of its skin, "what bringsyouof all pokemon to come here ?"

Shaymin shook its fear off of its back, the flowers of his back puffed up as it gathered up its courage.
"You know why I'm here, Rayquaza !" Shaymin spat his name fiercely, waiting for a reply. The serpent smiled mischievously, its scales on its back glowing a golden tint as he was losing patience. His red teeth showed, snarling at the hedgehog. Grabbing Shaymin with one swift movement, Rayquaza had the rodent in-between two of his claws. "Speak !"
"One day I will take down the pharaoh," the massive serpent rasped, an evil tone in his voice consuming its mind.
"You cannot do that !" Shaymin gasped in horror as the serpent was rudely interrupted; Rayquaza ignored his bellow.
"I know you are troubled with the old pharaoh's death; we all are. I will tell you this; all of us pocket monsters will join forces to take down the race of the human being ! We will rule again and not be used as slaves !"
The green serpent roared once again, launching the hedgehog across the room with a flick of the wrist. At an instant, Rayquaza was gone beneath the ground once again; Shaymin was stupefied. How could Rayquaza predict such a cruel ending. . . ?[/i]

"Enough ! Shaymin shouted out loud, opening its eyes. He had forgotten where he was at the moment, lost in his own memories of the ancient serpent. It was true that Rayquaza had a interesting idea lurking in his mind, but he wanted to use his power for evil, and not good. The snow white hedgehog looked around at his surroundings; there were indeed pocket monsters that were being enslaved by the humans. This needed to be stopped. Shaymin began to run without a care, tears developing in its small tear-ducts. A sparkle formed in one of them, flying in the air and onto the dirt-smothered sand. Crash.
The snow white rodent's head shot up; he had crashed into some type of feline-like grass type. The seed on its back was a dark green, as well as its spots on its skin. The main color of its skin was a teal-like turquoise, however - - with red eyes bloodshot.
"I'm so sorry ! - - - Shaymin's apology cut off as the seed pocket monster's whimpers came out in a rasp, a stinging pain flickering through its body. Its 'owner' was holding a whip, freshly used, an evil look on the human's face. The shaymin let out a squeal of rage, jumping at the human's face and scratching it. The owner let out a roar of terror, trying to reach for the whip as well as getting the pocket monster off of him.
"Run !" The snow white hedgehog commanded the bulbasaur to run, and it stared in fright as he struggled on the human's face.
" W - what about you - - ?"
"Don't worry about me ! Just run !" Shaymin snapped at the seed pocket monster, and it quickly commanded. It whispered a small 'thank-you' as it ran off into the large desert, and the white rodent jumped off the human. Scratches around its face were seen, and the pocket monster quickly ran off. It giggled slightly at its new-found victory, and came to a halt as a group of trainers were facing each other.
"Hey !" The female of the group shouted in a challenging voice, waiting for the heads of the other group to turn. They looked tired and thirsty, like they had been wandering the desert for quite some time. The female snickered as they turned, a challenge falling from her lips.
"You four ! How about a battle ?"
Shaymin's eyes lit up in delight at the sound of the word 'battle'. The white hedgehog stood around the 'sidelines' as the trainers prepared their battle with their own pocket monsters that they had collected.
